Taking a Test Drive with EV Rider

Three drivers take their first spin in an electric vehicle.

Each person who drives an electric vehicle (EV) for the first time takes away something different. Some appreciate the quiet, all-electric engine while others are captivated by the dazzling dashboard displays.

I recently gave a few test drives in MGE's 2017 Chevy Bolt.  My first driver, Matt Solomon, took it out for a donut run and was surprised by how "normal" it feels on the road. Katie Riccio drove to get some much-needed morning coffee and was impressed with the Bolt's acceleration. For Dorothy Steffens, the lack of regular maintenance required was the biggest surprise.
