Talking, Listening, Working Together

Communication and engagement are important to MGE customers.

Last year, we began an extensive engagement effort to seek information and feedback from our customers. We undertook the effort because we want to hear what our customers have to say.

Yet, as we learned, many of our customers and stakeholders also want to hear from us. With a strong voice, people said they want more communication from MGE.

In response, we're launching this new digital resource—


Our recent community engagement effort involved more than 90 Community Energy Conversations and a Community Energy Workshop. We asked hundreds of customers for their insights about our shared energy future. People provided valuable ideas and guidance that are helping to shape Energy 2030, the framework outlining our community energy goals.


As we've been listening to our customers, communication has surfaced as one of the top priorities. We heard loudly and clearly that our customers want timely, relevant and useful information from us. Other top priorities include transitioning to more sustainable energy sources and enhancing customer control of energy costs.

To begin to respond to our customers, we've created as a new source for learning how together we can create a more sustainable future, and for enhancing our ongoing communication with our community. In addition, we will continue to explore new ways to reach out and engage with our customers.
