Solar Array Under Construction in Middleton

Morey Field Solar will generate enough clean energy to power more than 1,000 households.

After a groundbreaking ceremony last fall, the pace of construction at the Middleton Municipal Airport picked up this spring. Work this spring and summer will include the installation of the racks, tracking system and solar panels.

The 5-megawatt Morey Field Solar array is set to begin serving our community grid this year. Seventy percent of the array will serve Shared Solar participants. The remaining 30 percent will serve the City of Middleton and the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District under two separate Renewable Energy Rider agreements.
