Building Small, Thinking Big
Madison College students have built big energy savings into tiny spaces as part of a micro-lodge project for a landmark site on Madison's east side.
Students in the college's Construction and Remodeling Program are building tiny houses for a micro-lodge development at the Garver Feed Mill site on Madison's east side.
Jon Beers, MGE's residential services manager and overall energy expert, serves on the college's Construction and Remodeling Advisory Committee. Beers recently toured the tiny houses under construction. He shared his insight on their innovative, energy-efficient design with energy2030together.com.
