Video: EV Savings to Fuel Holiday Spending
Watch our "shopping spree" made possible by electric vehicle (EV) savings.
Could you use some extra dough during the holiday season? EV drivers see an average fuel savings of about $632 per year when compared to drivers of a typical gasoline vehicle. That's according to a 2018 University of Michigan study.
My friend Denise drives an EV. She agreed to visit The University Book Store, Fontana Sports and Blain's Farm & Fleet with me to see what she could purchase with her annual EV savings. We even got to speak to a fellow EV owner, The University Book Store President Patrick McGowan, who says he saves $1,300 a year in fuel costs!
Check out our conversation with him and see how Denise “spends” her EV nest egg in our latest video.

An EV may cost more upfront, but drivers pay less to fill up with electricity than gasoline. And EVs cost less to maintain. For more news and features on EVs, visit the EV Rider
