Our EV Charging Network is Growing

Plug in to power your vehicle with clean energy.

MGE is expanding its charging network for electric vehicles (EVs) . We now have a total of 30 public charging stations. In 2009, MGE began installing one of the nation's first networks of EV charging stations.

And, that network will continue to grow. MGE is finalizing plans to install new DC Fast chargers. Fast chargers can charge a fully depleted, standard EV battery to 80% in about 30 minutes. MGE has a total of three DC Fast Chargers available for public use, including our newest one at Kelley's Market in Middleton.

Plug in. Go Green.

When drivers plug in at our charging stations, they are fueling up with 100% renewable electricity produced by wind farms in Wisconsin and Iowa. It's a great way to reduce an environmental footprint.

And, our extensive network of public charging stations covers most of the Madison metro area—from Middleton to the far-east side. Using our network of ChargePoint stations is easy—you can sign up online or download the ChargePoint app to your smartphone. Visit mge.com to learn how to enroll.

Advancing new technologies, like EVs, is a priority under MGE's Energy 2030 framework. Under Energy 2030, we're working with our customers to reduce our carbon emissions by 40% from 2005 levels by 2030. Transportation is a significant source of greenhouse gases—so plugging in an EV is a great way to go green.
