Hear from Saratoga's Landowners
Our wind farm's landowners help bring clean energy to our community.
About 200 miles west of Madison, 8,300 acres of farmland in northeast Iowa has been home to crops and cattle for generations. Today, those farms also produce clean energy to serve about 47,000 Madison-area households. Thirty-three wind turbines stand nearly 500-feet tall, taking advantage of powerful Iowa winds. MGE’s largest and most efficient wind farm became fully operational in early 2019. It's another step toward MGE's goal of net-zero carbon electricity by 2050.
Hear from some of Saratoga's landowners who are helping deliver a cleaner energy future.
